Before we dive into the story of Laurence which will depict mainly comparison and differences of Digitex to a free-market republic, along with the ups and gains.

The story will closely assemble the problems of what is to be tackled with Digitex

Enjoy

Our tale starts with Laurence as a fellow sea merchant, but before we start lets use a sea-shanty to lighten the mood.

"We are Sea-Farriers"

We are, sea farriers
Trading across the Baltic sea

We make our way
On our freight
Were freemen can't you see

We trade fine goods
On our routes

We enjoy fair trade.

Leather boots, Fine steel, Glass that may appeal.
Their all high grade.

We make our way on, our freight

To new routes, we may see
We exchange goods
It was good

A profit was made.

We head back to the baltic sea

The day is done
All was swell
For this be a new tale to tell.

Now for the, story.

Laurence is in Normandy trying to sell potatoes which he bought from france. Famine that swept the land and crippled the economy of Normandy.

Vikings they called Laurence, as they are sea-folk, Who are always sailing.

Wars are fought, tariffs are placed, luckily Laurence knows the difference in each tariff of a country he buys and gets his supplies from.

Except for one newly formed country, Named "The free republic of Digitex"

Laurence visited the place, and found no other increases in prices except for what the people placed. The prices of every commodity you can think of is at least (10% OFF)!

With the end of a sudden gasp, Laurence sits to the docks and looks at the setting sun and wonders how long will a place like this exist, for it's taxes aren't as close to any he visits (Heck! my relative charges me more for borrowing crates.),Laurence said.

A man sits beside him and ,replies with: is your money paper or gold.

Laurence said: I am carrying paper equal to gold, yet my gold is far away.

The man, replies: who creates these paper, and must they be representing of gold?

Laurence said: Each country I've visited so far has their own paper money, yet they all use gold for their banks. The amount of paper should be close to the gold its equal to.

Laurence said: The country's have learned from a previous mistake that if they have more paper than the amount its trying to represent, it may cause a great depression.

The man, replies: You were wondering earlier on how this country stay's a float?

For a full night's worth of talking in the captain's cabin of Laurence, he understood but with a fain't heart. This turning point of history, the amount of trust and the powers will shift.

Looking back Laurence, gaze apoun a (poop bucket) not really noticing what he is currently looking at, but being astonished that people will be receive their worth earnings whole-heatedly as long as they use the money that the Republic of Digitex prints.

The coolest part is that, what their paper represents.

- "Its just a piece of paper with my face on it, yet its all sentimental value"

- "Sentimental value can't solve physical problems, you can't just throw money on your plate and expect your favorite food's to appear"

-President of the republic of Digitex.

note, here is a quick summarize of the first part

  • Where it talked about the philosophy from the turning point of switching from gold to paper and (Now) we may consider from metal coins to digital ones.

  • The great depression, Inflation rates is a problem filled with corrupt incentive's not accidental.

  • Earnings and taxes, Majority of VAT taxes are aound the 10% margin or more! Steadily decreasing the prosperity and growth of the populace.

  • Finally trust! Sentimental value is key, the free-market is the best way to thrive where there are no universal taxation which reduces the growth and effectively locks up money making it useless. As seen from the visits of Laurence in the ports of the country(The Republic of Digitex).
