Mini Chicken Kiev

Dinner

Seeing as I do like Chicken Kiev's and I want to decrease my food intake, this probably means eating "half" a Kiev, don't think that this will work, all the sauce will run out of the uneaten half. I don't want to throw away good food, what to do? I had a bit of a dilemma until I found mini chicken Kiev's, worth a try.

They were quite nice, and could be a solution. On a side note I have noticed that I am wanting more sauces, milk drinks and other high calorie food items. Most likely a result of the exercise and reduced food intake, something to watch. Todays exercise totaled 2,580 KJ (615 calories).

Do you know the recipe?

These were with the chicken thigh meat, hence the size, the sauce inside is fairly basic, butter, garlic, some salt and pepper.

Store bought pre-made ones? a couple of the companies make them, but shouldn't be too hard to adapt a regular chicken kiev recipe to using a smaller breast or the thigh to make the item from.

Don't give in to that desire for high calorie items, but having some lighter sauces could help with distracting the brain from what it's wanting.

Indeed, I think thigh meat is a good choice.

I am aware of the "craving" which is the first step to controlling it.

I think thigh meat is a good choice for many things, it's often much more flavoursome than breast meat.

I agree with that, and it isn't always as dry as the breast.
