Did the dinosaurs really exist?

Dinosaurs were huge reptiles that appeared on Earth about 220-230 million years ago. They have been "masters" of the planet for about 160 million years until their disappearance about 65 million years ago.

Most scientists agree that the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by the impact of the Earth with an asteroid of 10 km diameter in the Gulf of Mexico. The scientific study of dinosaurs is based on fossil traces, but fossilization is an extremely rare process, as a result there are many dinosaur species we do not know about.

Given that human civilization has flourished over the past 10,000 years and that dinosaurs dominated the earth for 160 millions years, we can easily say that dinosaurs are most likely to have been the most successful creatures that colonized the Earth.

After analyzing the bones of hundreds of dinosaur specimens with X-rays, an American radiologist, Bruce Rothschild, concluded that the dinosaurs had bone tumors similar to those affecting humans at the present time.

Many paleontologists are convinced that the nowadays birds are direct descendants of the Jurassic dinosaurs (208-146 millions years ago) and Cretacic (146-65 millions years ago).

The most dinosaurs were herbivores. Although the most famous dinosaurs are Tyrannosaurus Rex and Gigantosaurus, the number of predatory dinosaurs was very small. The herbivorous dinosaurs (Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus) had an impressive tale (up to 30 m long, 13 m tall and 100 tons weight).

The dinosaurs did not disappear immediately after the impact of the earth with the meteorite. It is estimated that they survived around 700,000 years after the impact.

In my opinion it is abviously the dinosaurs existed after being descovered a lot of bones but I am not sure about the reason why they dissapeared.

What I understand about their disappearance is that, as you say, it wasn't the immediate effects of the asteroid impact that caused their extinction, but that the earth become veiled by a really thick could of dust caused by the impact, which slowly destroyed most of Earths vegetation, thus causing their slow extinction. It seems plausible, but I wasn't around to see it, or maybe I don't remember it. xD
Nice post Mr. @JWolf! Thanks for sharing :)

Haha! Thank you for your time Mr. @Cipriang. I agree, maybe the Earth vegetation was destroyed and they died slowly...

Awesome post, the history of dinos is interesting, though they arent the only fascinating creatures that lived on this earth. Thanks for sharing :) #keepsteemin

I always wondered how something so HUGE could move on land in our Gravity. When a whale is washed ashore it dies....it can't even breath it's own weight is too much for it. An Elephant can't run...it's bones won't stand the impact stress..the best it can do is a fast walk.

So how about them dinosaurs? What was different?

Different was their long legs :p

like this?

this is like an elephant :D

exactly right...

nice post !!

Thank you so much for your continued support man!

Should be a warning for us: also very succesful species can vanish.

But for the bones: i couldnt test if they where real or not.

yes, you are right.. we can dissapear in seconds...well I didn't test it too...

Amazing post bro i think they does not exist now

Of course I believe they exist in my opinion there could be many or other reasons why they extinct since we all know that Earth is changing. Maybe they extinct because there's a strong hurricane or maybe there's a volcanic eruption. I remember that I have read one article from the internet saying that million years ago there's only one land formation on Earth and because of natural calamities it was divided into continents.

that is also true man!
