How do dirt cars work

The first thing people see is the way the cars attack the corner and they think they are sliding.

That could not be more wrong. Like any racing we want to be "hooked up" at all times, so how do we do it you ask. We do it with rear steering. As the left side of the car reacts to the throttle being applied it actually rolls forward and in turn it turns the whole rear axle to the right.

This is at normal ride height
This next one is when we simulate roll steer

What this does is allow us to turn the large flat side of the car into the wind and use it as a sail. To do this you have to steer to the right like doc hudson said "sometimes you have to turn right to go left" this turning right causes the caster to mechanically add weight to the right front and in turn help the left rear tire dig and give us more drive through the corner. Give me any feed back on what you want to see or know about. I will be making more posts and posting videos of or races, some suspension videos and our tools we have made to get the job done.
