Is this just some serious lampshading?

There were reports a few months ago of the Falcon 9 rocket that was streaking across the skies causing all sorts of UFO reports, accidents, and people thinking we were under some sort of alien invasion. It was funny and noteworthy enough for even Mr Musk to get his jokes in on Twitter.

On the surface this comes off as a perfect joke given the world we are in right now (like really, I found this rather amusing when it was posted) but I started to wonder if this was just some smart lampshading on Musk's part. By stumbling from one video to the next I found this one below. It highlights what the voiceover claims to be a UFO dismantling a missile mid flight which seemed really cool looking... and somewhat familiar.

SpaceX Rocket for Comparison

What to you think? There are the very subtle differences in how the [for lack of a better word] "haze" appears around the objects but the shapes are pretty uncanny.

The Space X rocket looks energetic to me as opposed to 100% combustion.

Interesting observation. Given that there is some time between the videos, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the v2 of the technology too. My current working theory is that they are just blasting it with the resonating frequency of the metal and having it basically adomize it self, similar to this experiment here.

[Side note, this tech could totally be what was used on the twin towers to cause it to liquify the way responders reported too.]
