steemit.chat is down again, i’m opening up mine and @dayleeo private discord server - ‘teamhumble’ and adding in extra channels for our projects, apps and future lives ;)

we are going NITRO baby! :) - it’s $50 for the year and it just means we support the discord family in the process, we love the platform and the fact that video is involved (get involved!) that makes recording, getting together to make videos even easier because i can just record the damn screen!

now listen, i know i know, you are already part of loads of discords already, i get that. so here is the thing i’m not asking you to be part of it, in fact unless you want to engage regularly, maybe check in, have a remote co-worker place you can drop into and say hi on ya coffee break or lunch break chat then dont join — but if you’re into remote working, live video streaming, collaborative working, living from the web, or just old fashioned hanging out at the odd online virtual dance party then this place might be for you! :)

any donations or up votes on this post will initially go towards the payment of the nitro and my time to set up the channels, roles and such like, also if anyone knows of any good discord bots, especially for like music and audio channels playback that would be awesome.

it was time to open things up again, we also need to revisit our old flat file website teamhumble.org and turn that into some steemit powered wordpress beast with that new plugin, i’ll look about adding that to the list, it’s time to bring back the whole mantra of that alongside some of the projects i’m doing on steemit. i kinda miss having people to speak to each day in a chat room place — when we had video blab daily or in the evenings, or even dance parties it was so much fun. time to bring a bit of that connected fun back into our daily digital working remote lives! :)

you can grab the software here — Discord - Free Voice and Text Chat for Gamers or follow the link below and it will help you get setup, you can also get discord for your mobile phone so you always have it with you. i’d rather use something like slack but it’s too expensive right now, i’m also using fleep.io on a daily basis with dayle but we use discord a lot for gaming, i kinda see discord as leisure time for community so it makes a good choice i think.

i’m still building everything out, creating channels and such like and getting my head around permissions and such like, please give me a little while to get everything working properly because the user management levels can be a little bit overwhelming to stay the list. i just want something easy to use and a backup for when steemit.chat goes down!

also, you can’t do video chat on steemit.chat so obviously this is a big win when we have nitro active because we can do some of the collaborative videos here, calling you all into a set of channels to get the records, i think it just might make it faster for me to make the clips then! :)

anyway, see you on the inside! :)

update — seems that steemit.chat is kinda back but it’s super slow on my end, either way, it’s time for a semi reliable chat area for teamhumble! :)
