I live in the Missouri Ozarks and have thought about the fragility of the grid for quite some time now, never knew (or would have guessed) we're on the same overall network as the East Coast.
I've always liked the notion of solar. Plenty windy here too. I'm thinking alternative energy could be an even better home investment than I previously realized!
