Kathleen Kennedy: Hey, I have this cool, original idea. Now, hear me out, and open your mind, this is something that we've never done before. What if we take a beloved, legacy, male character; but, again, hear me out because this is bold and original, we make him into a broken, depressed, old man who just wants to die? Then, what we do next, is introduce a girl boss character who is immediately smarter and more competent than the legacy character, and we can have her teach him a few things about life rather than him teaching her from his decades of experience.
