Distinctive door and lamps

This is a post for Monochrome Monday hosted by @old-guy-photos A challenge I try to join as often as I can, the other challenges he hosts are Sepia Saturday and Tree Tuesday, all fun challenges and worth checking out.

This post also is for the distinctive door challenge started by myself

I came across this door on one of my morning walks and had to get a shot of it, I thought it had quite a regal feel to it, but not only was the door cool, so was the fence in front of it, now what you see in this first shot you may think the fence looks cool, but not that special well let me show you more

What made this fence so cool was these lamps built onto the fence, and the cool ironwork surrounding the lights, dont they reallty stand out and look so cool

There was one of these lamps each side of the doorway and I decided to go with a different stlye of mono with each of these shots

I wondered if anyone would notice one of the lamps was damaged, and yes they are still working I walked by them this morning and they were lit up

I will have a street lamp shadows contest coming up.... Does that count? 😉I have all the contests that I can manage right now, but that is a great idea for one I would love to see all kinds of lamps - indoor and outdoor! That is a great contest idea! I wish I knew someone wanted to start a contest!
