Travelling the Australian outback there is so much to see. The sights and sounds are distinctively unique. Of these, one that always catches my eye are the quirky signs describing little towns.

Here is one such sign from the South Australian outback town of Glendambo. :)

Thanks for the post!

Seeing your vehicles reminded me when I first saw these with the high-mount air intake at our caravan park in Perth my initial reaction was 'serious campers, must have to ford the odd creek'. But when we took our day tour from Alice to Uluru and saw all the flash flood warning signs I thought 'not necessarily fording for campers, but surviving for anyone caught by flooding'!

Safe travels!

Yes the snorkel helps in keeping water out of the engine when crossing creeks and rivers. It also helps keep dust intake to a minimum. Being higher up, less dust is taken in and also cooler air.

Thanks for the feedback, good to know. Away for a bit and catching up!

Amazing, I live the Aussie Outback. I spent last year exploring the WA Outback and it was so unreal! This year I’m heading to Queensland

WA is a country on its own :)
Tropical QLD and Dry WA, huge difference in landscape. You will love it I am sure.
