A modest little home in a modest little neighborhood.

This is mostly windows! :)

The windows are so beautifully done and the entire house is all so perfectly laid out and everything proportioned in the right place. I don't see this level of skill and execution anymore anywhere. Too expensive? Too much bother? Some of the crappiest construction ever has been replacing these homes since the 1980's. There are thousands of homes like this all over southern California - similar but no two exactly the same. My hat's off to the builders!

It's small but charming and friendly! : )

A really beautiful house, do I see a Mexican influence?

Yes, and not exactly. Haha! It's called Spanish Colonial Revival. I did some reading about these and they originated in The US with a combination of influences. This would probably be "Monterrey" There's also Pueblo and Mission styles. Pretty cool stuff!

Yes, I probably only saw the Pueblo parts. I have no knowledge in this area and thanks for clarification.

I've always liked these but didn't know anything about them until just recently. I looked them up online a couple of months ago... and then forgot much of what i read already. Pueblo style is really popular in Arizona and New Mexico. It looks more like an adobe building with wood posts sticking out here and there. Haha, oh man it's a lot easier just to show a photo!

Here's a pueblo style building. I borrowed this from wikipedia

Thanks! That's what I meant. I've seen in some western films. In fact, I know that in such a house was a famous painter, Georgia O'Keeffe (I don't think I wrote the name correctly, but I think it is understandable. I did not want to use Google, I want to test my memory)
