Women who don't have their kids deal with the same stuff. It's not very often you hear about non-custodial moms but they're out there. They deal with it too. It's never easy.
As for answering the question: Is the system more in favor of women? A lot of men say so. I know plenty of women though who deal with the exact same thing: guilty until proven innocent and mopping the floors with their food stamps because legal fees ate everything else. In some cases, that is a best case scenario.
