Diwali: Festival of lights

Diwali is a most celebrated Hindu festival in India. Diwali is celebrated on the mark of return of Lord Rama from 14 years of exile and his victory over the Demon Ravana.

Diwali actually called as Deepavali. Which means row of lights. People decorate their homes, business with diyas (lights) to celebrate festival with family and friends along with delicious sweets and traditional food.

Its a feast to eyes to watch those glittering Diyas all over the place. On Deepavali night Goddes Laxmi puja is done to please the Goddes Laxmi for prosperous life and financial abundance.

Children love Deepavali mostly for crackers. Yes, on the Deepavali day during evening lots of crackers are busted to celebrate the festival.
