diy cable organizer for Tesla UMC

in diy •  7 years ago

Here I want to share with you my home made wooden cable organizer for the UMC Typ2 cable.

First I printed a Tesla 'T'-pattern on paper and transferred it on a piece of MDF. The whole 'T' is used for the front. To carry the cable, smaller stacked pieces where used. Jigsaw was used to cutting out the stuff:

The cable holding part is glued together and painted black. No more space than three times the cable is needed for that 5 meters from the UMC to the Typ2 plug:

Past that the 'T' is painted. And what color is more suitable for the Tesla-'T' than the original red color?!

Finally the red 'T' is glued on, the cable organizer is fixed in place and cable is on. UMC itself is fixed only with two clamps. No drilling or glueing here. Warranty is still on and who knows when things get broken ;-)
