Hi, what's up everyone?
In the clearweb or 'normal'-web i'm known as dissi (or dissi_xD since dissi is often not available xD). But on the darknet i'm BlackButterfly666. Now i want to tell you the story of my site. But first...
What the heck is the darknet?
The darknet is a hidden place on the internet, that you can only access through a special browser. The most famous browser is the TOR-Browser (The Onion Routing). You can download it here: Get the Tor-Browser
It's developed by the American army long time ago to ensure an encrypted data transfer in the war. Later it was released for the public. The darknet is mostly known for its illegal marketplaces, where you can buy and sell illegal items such as drugs and weapons. But it's more than that. It's much used by journalists which are in a dangerous land, where they can get killed for the information they give to the editorial stuff. With the help of the TOR-Network they can send their informations safely to the editorial stuff.
On the darknet you are anonymous since your server request get send encrypted to a relay, then again encrypted to the next relay and then again to a third relay, before the request reaches the server. So your IP-Adress is hidden for the server. The server knows only the IP of the last relay. The last relay only knows the IP of the second relay, and so on.
Let's go over to my project...
How it all started
It was the summer of 2018 where i began to discover the darknet for a third time in my life. But that time it was different, because i have saved all the links i found in a html file (html is the language in which websites are written), since there are no good search engines on the darknet. It's not like on the clearweb, where you type in google 'facebook' and it's the first result. For this there are some link-lists on the darknet. It's your first point, when you start to discover the darknet.
I have never done something illegal on the darknet, i just browsed it for curiosity, joined some social networks or forums and that's all. But i had a lot of links of different types.
A year passed, i went to school and there we worked with a Raspberry Pi. A little pc, not bigger than a pack of cigarettes. It has not much power, but you can make a lot of different things with them and it doesn't need that much energy. So the idea came in my mind to use that as a server. Corona came right in the best moment, because of that i had so much sparetime and started to put the links i saved in the html file to a database and made a nice site with many features.
This is how the start-page looks like:
There is a search-field where you can enter a sites name which is saved in my collection, so you don't have to scroll through all links. But if you are new to my site, you probably wont know any name of a site. For that i have made the catalogue, where every single link is listed, divided into different categories. You reach it by clicking on 'Browse Catalogue' and will be redirected to this page:
The features of BlackButterfly666's Link-Collection
One of the biggest features, as you may have seen, is the free cryptocurrency section. It's a site with links to different faucet sites. Feel free to join them! Just click on the badge or on the button in the navigation and it will redirect you to that section.
That section looks like this:
On the top you see some cryptocurrency-logos. Click on one of them and it will show you different faucets of that coin:
Another feature is the page dedicated to Ross Ulbricht, the founder of the first and most famous darknet marketplace, the SilkRoad, which was put down by the police in October 2011. Now he is in jail only for hosting a website. Besides Magic Mushrooms he never sold something on his site, he just hosted it. But i posted another article of that topic here, so i wont go in the details. The trial was unfair, the judge wanted to state an example on him, but it brought nothing, since today there are thousends of such marketplaces. So i want to help to free Ross. For that is that section.
It looks like that:
The last feature i want to show you is the guestbook. It's a page where users can leave a nice comment. Sadly not everyone leaves a nice comment and i have to delete them, when i got time... But here are some of the nice ones:
What will come next?
I have many points on my list. The most important point is the voting system for the sites, on which i'm working since last year, but there are always some stupid bugs, so it needs a little more until i can release it. The voting system is for the users to filter out sites that are scam and sites that are good.
Another feature i want to make is a blog, where i can write my thoughts. But i think i will not use it that often, since i don't know what to write.
The third feature i want to implement is a diagram which shows how many users where online on that day.
If someone is familiar with html and php and wants to help me, you can always reach out to me. I also have a chat on my site, where you can write with me (but i don't use it that much). Else there are other ways to contact me, you find them all on my site.
So if you are interested in my site and want to browse it, here is the link: ig2ioz6j2vpcmz27nlqmfdrscijqeqnjv6ku3pkpte7pm53gxeal5hqd.onion
I hope you like it. It was really a joy to set up the server and build my site and i hope i will have a long journey with it ;)
