It gets damn cold up here. Damn cold. I want to keep my garage/workshop/man cave from freezing without going broke.
This just happened-26°C, and a few day earlier -32°!
You need to use an old school thermostat that has mercury in a glass bulb mounted on a spring. Leave it loosely mounted to the wall so you can tip it to trick it to set lower than it's supposed to go!
Here's the proof: okay I don't know how to use this ancient method of temperature measurement.
There it is! About 4.5°C. Perfect for quick tasks and easy to raise if your going to be out there longer.
