how to turn old boombox into a bluetooth speaker

in diy •  7 years ago

This is finally it, the whole process of turning my old boombox into a bluetooth speaker.

This one is important to me, not only because it is my first electronics proyect, but also because that is the first boombox i bought with my savings as a teen,.i didnt just want to throw it away.

After going through some instructables my first goal was to keep all other functionalities, i scrapped that idea mainly because the cd was no longer working, i think i lost a fuse somewhere, and as i was opening it, i desoldered the cassette motor.

i bought the components from dx.com, a voltage regulator, an amp circuit and the main decoder board, as for battery i tore open a power bank i purchased a while back.

Even though it works, it is still not perfect, there is some annoying background sound that i dont know how to get rid off, ill probably tackle this in the future.
