Our gear shed has been in dire need of a rearranging and now that there are 2 kayaks to store I had to do it. I had an idea for using some metal brackets for the storage rack but in the end the best solution was 6 pieces of 2x4.
2 pcs 18", 2 pcs 24", 1 pc 14", & 1 pc 8".

I screwed the 18" legs to the 24" boards in a slightly acute angle to give the support a lean towards the wall. The other 2 pcs were attached at an angle to the legs and then attached the the wall. I ran a single screw through from either side of the stud which allows the brackets to rotate up an can be locked up against the stud.

It took more time to organize the shed than build the rack. Now we will have an easy time moving the kayaks around with the now open space in the shed.

I always try to remember Occam's razor!

I admire your ability to do manual work! @flemingfarm

Thanks, it is pretty much who I am. I have a need to be doing something all the time. So many projects, so little time...

I am happy that you are doing well with your farm @flemingfarm If I remember correctly, you were in the U.S. Air Force when you were younger - I was in the U.S. Navy ✌

My family was all in the Navy, I was the black sheep to break step and go Air Force.
