Imprinted concrete drive # the prep

More house projects to come but today the drive way refurbishment begins.

This is the drive at the beginning of the day.

Pros of the project are it will look tidy and we will be able to park more cars on it (especially as Wheels wants a drift car).
Cons of the project are we are stuck in the house and cars have to be parked off site for a week, meaning I'm climbing next doors fence to get out the house to get to work.

We are having imprinted concrete as the finish for it as it is smooth and low maintenance. It's quite an interesting process how they do it. I was worried about having it done as it is a lot of money and you can't be too sure if the company you choose is going to do a good job even when you look at reviews you can never tell if things will go ok with your specific job. Hidden problems can cause extra costs and extra headaches! There are so many cowboys out there it can be very daunting.

The drive has been dug up, the rubble has been taken away and they have put a soak away in. Wheels will be house bound and in charge of the workmen for the next few days, weather permitting it should be completed within the week.

Exciting stuff.

This is how it looks after day one. More pictures to come as it develops. This house is finally becoming a home. Just need flooring on the inside and we will nearly be there!
