How to Inlet a Rifle stock forend + Bonus SBD Contest!!!

in diy •  7 years ago  (edited)

I know it's been a long time but I finally got around to working on this rifle stock again. I wanted to give the olivewood a couple months of drying to make sure it wouldn't warp or crack. In this video I show the process of fitting a custom solid hardwood (Olivewood) accent to a barreled action of a rifle. Thanks for watching if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment.

P.S. as a bonus if you can name the rifle model shown in the video leave a comment, the first one to name it correctly I'll give 5 SBD!!

That action looks like a Springfield 03-a3, but I could be wrong...

Correct!! It's a springfield 1903 Mk1, same as an 03a3 except for the slot in the left of the receiver and the bottom metal is slightly different
