I made a Sourdough Grilled Cheese with Salami Sandwich for my dinner tonight.
One good thing about the Quarantine was that I got to work on my cooking and I finally got the perfect technique for making a Grilled Cheese sandwich.
I start with melting some butter in a large skillet on medium high heat.
Then I lightly sprinkle in a slight amount of Garlic Salt.
Then I put the bread in the pan in the orientation of how I want the bread to be able to fold over to make the sandwich.
I flip the bread over once so both sides are buttered.
I lower the temperature to low and keep flipping the pieces over until they are lightly toasted.
Once both side and lightly toasted I put on the Cheese and any other topping. In this case finely diced Salami.
I let it sit until the cheese start to melt just ever so slightly.
Then I fold the sandwich together turning the heat up to medium.
I flip it every 10 or so seconds so I am sure I don't burn the bread and do this until the breads looks like how I want it.
I immediately take it out of the pan.
The Sandwich was amazing.
