PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE STARTING ANY PALLET WOOD PROJECT!!!
Before starting a new project using Pallet wood it's important you know where the wood has come from and how safe the wood is. Not every Pallet is the same and with my simple Pallet guide it will be easy to work out which ones aren't treated with harmful chemicals and which ones are safe to use.
Each Pallet should have a stamp to identify the place of origin, the factory code and how it's been treated...
Pallet wood is one of the most important free sources you can collect when starting any large projectas it will save you a fortune in Timbr costs and Nails. I have used this wood for many projects from Garden Planters, Cold Frames, Raised Beds, Compost Bin and even a completely free shed for my Grandad.

Love the raised bed. I was not aware that they have codes for the treatment of the wood. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. Upvoted and following

You're welcome! I was so worried when I first found this information out. I had to make a tutorial as I'd already used so much Pallet wood in the garden and thought I should share. Thankfully it was all labeled HT. Glad I could pass on the info :)

Thank you! I'd always just ignored the stamps before trying these projects. Now I hope more people can learn before using dangerous Pallet woods

This is fantastic, I knew about all of the different types of plastics and which are safe for gardening, but not the different types of pallets.
I have a ton of pallets laying around too, so I'll vet them and use only the safe ones for projects. Thanks @projectdiaries!

Good to here! Most people ignore the warnings on plastics too. I've been utterly shocked at some plastic results and have been doing research for many months. I'm hoping to release a series of plastic guides soon. Glad I could help :)

Yeah, it's crazy, right? If you want help on the plastics guide, I actually have most of it already written from the context of which plastics are safe to garden / grow with :)

Is it on a Steemit blog?I have so much information but it's reducing it down into bite sized pieces that are easy to digest

It is not on a Steemit blog yet. I have to do the same thing as you...make it simpler, more interesting, and more valuable to read!

I started off with the ric code info, that went to BPA and that lead to plastic pollutants into the food chain and oceans. It's so exciting the way my channel has it's own path to teach me new things :)
