The idiot project ... or rebuilding a 350m² house - Part 3
and here we go with yet another episode :)
The house had a pretty old electricial installation and so I started to set it up with 2 new fuse boxes, new grounding and all new cables. The guest apartment needed an entrance door, new florring as there were differences in the levels between the rooms that had been there before.
New fuse box mounted
and some of the old leftovers
time to get some of the frames done that will hold the new walls.
there comes the insulation and the steam barrier
that was somewhat in november or december. In the middle of the night.
Bloody cold .. about 12 deg celsius inside and I just removed the wall to have a fitting hole for the new door.
Well ... stupid me cut through the outer frames and suddenly the outer cover of the house with all the insulation just fell off.
And I was standing there .. -1 deg celsius outside with a bloody big hole in the wall. In the middle of the night around 23:00.
No way back .. the new door had to go in. NOW!
somewhat about an hour later ...
Progressing with the wall constructions
more insulation
Setting up the the dry wall mountings
Here you can see some of the wooden elements I used to build a drawer from and how they were used to make walls back in the days.
Building up the wall and holding for the new toilet and bathroom facilities
New floor filler
In between .. help arrived to get rid of the (almost as good as new) garage
.. back to the main game
Wll constructions also for the bathroom are taking place, pipes are in and the toilet gets set up
some electricity renewed
and the second fuse box going in
dirty business ;)
that's it for this episode .. more to come.
Quite a job you have there!
