Part3

Hi ok so having decided what I want my generator to be ready for, I can start to plan , now this is not going to be how to make one, you will have to study and find out what to do, but it is pretty straight-forward, it must be if I can do it, so can you, what I will explain is the basics.

You will Need the Following if you do not need power tools or microwave you can leave out the 4500 watt inverter ok, I will explain below, but lets go for a simple solar generator , suppose you just want shed light and or house light for emergency, that is very straight-forward, you then have to decide whether you want a portable generator or one you can house in your shed I went for both mine is similar to pic above and if I need too I can move it even take it out in car when we go fishing for lights , but Generally its left in my shed and from there powers shed and or house with lights.

IF your shed is more than 10 yards from house will change what you need ,for example Our Shed is approx 7 yards from house and 12 volts ok

battery wise ,this only applies if you run cables underground to house for internal lighting etc, as the further you need cables the more power is needed as you lose some in transit so to speak, then you would need 2 batteries connected together to make 24 volt, now you need to know all this first because you need a charge controller that will handle either 12 volts or 24 volts so you can purchase the correct one.

A Charge Controller is a relay devise that connects solar panels to battery and controls the electricity so the batteries do not get over charged and makes it all secure.
