If there are any Wedding DJ's or Prom DJ's out there who like to read up on other DJ's events and the things that happen, than this post is for you!

Recently I DJ'd for a Prom in a small town. Here was my setup:

I used a few uplights to give the dance area some more color. This was for a small school and I think we had 70 couples attend.

I pretty much DJ'd the Prom as all request the whole time, as I didn't really get any kind of song list or anything. You never really know what younger crowds are going to ask for for music. It's always interesting to me to see what types of songs different age groups may request. There was definitely a few surprises, with stuff like Uncle Kracker, Cotton Eye Joe, and few other random songs in the mix. I was surprised none of them asked for things like Ed Sheeran "Shape of You" or something more popular. They all kind of had thier own tastes and I was all over the place with music genres. One nice young man was entering the military I assume soon, and his request for Toby Keith's Red, white and blue was played.

Overall though the kids had a great time and it was well received. Had a fun time!

Thanks for reading, and Keep them Dancing DJ's!!
