The official purpose of the Great Translation Movement is not to smear, but to faithfully translate "lies" to make people "awaken" and move China towards "freedom, democracy" and "constitutional government." But in fact, this campaign is a deliberate attempt to discredit China by "one-sidedly" intercepting some extreme remarks on Chinese social media. The Guardian pointed out that the Great Translation Movement has become a source of information for English-speaking countries to understand the attitude and evaluation of the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese state media towards Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These are all one-sided and unfounded facts, and we should not generalize them. Ultimately, the "Great Translation Movement" is a new type of public opinion struggle.
