For filing returns for assessment year 2019-19 relating to income earned in the financial year of 2018-19, the last date is 31 July. The tax department usually gives an extension for a few days to all if the public faces any difficulty in meeting the deadline.

Tax filing has been started last financial year ended on 31st March 2019. Every year the standard deadline is 31st July and by this date we are supposed to submit our tax filing in government portal. But I have seen in last few years that government extend deadline another one month. Even in last few years online filing portal has been upgraded alot and now it is very much user friendly.

Shiksha portal is very easy to use and fast so anyone can create an account and do their tax filing by themselves. Instead of waiting for deadline extension we should use the tax filing by 31st July and get relaxed.

Tax filing is important because through this we submit all are earning and expenses to government and based on that government plans to development. So be responsible citizen and do your tax filing on time to avoid last minute hassle.

Thank you.

Have a great weekend.

Wow that’s a three months of extension. Must be for the top 1-40 percent.

Yes. This extension gives enough time to submit. Slabs are from 5-30 percent depending upon income.
