4G technology is still new and the 5G is in the news. Technology is changing so fast for the betterment of human life but there is a huge cost customer paying for the technology up-gradation. I do remember when 3G technology came and I bought a 3G handset but in couple of years it became outdated after launching 4G and now almost all 3G handsets are replaced by 4G so where all 3G have gone? In the trash? Yes, and generated a huge e-waste and made hole in the pockets of consumer.

Today maximum mobile consumer have 4G handsets and number of 4G handsets are far higher than 3G handsets at that time. We can just imagine how much e-wast would be generated when 4G will be replaced by 5G.

Question is that-

  • Do we need such a fast up-gradation of technology which is not only making our earth a garbage bin of dangerous e-was but also giving a huge financial loss to the consumer?
  • Do we really benefited by the fast up-gradation of technology or it is just a money-making-idea by businesses?
