Although this is not proof that turmeric causes liver problem, there is no harm in being cautious. Personally, if I am on it, I will do a liver enzyme test every three months and additionally would not take this supplement for a long period of say, more than three months.
It is better to take turmeric through the food that you consume. It is best that you also add a little bit of black pepper to increase the bio-availability of turmeric. Fat is also known to increase the bio-availability of turmeric.

If I would have to take turmeric, I would probably choose natural ones, because we can have turmeric in for of powder ... One shoulöd see ot it that there are no additives added.... so the best thing to do is eductae yourself on its effect to the body.

That is a wise thing to do. However sometime when a person needs to large amount of turmeric for medicinal reasons it becomes difficult to follow.
