The author of this article argues that China has every intention to not only dominate other nations but also considers itself to be the only sovereign state that could, in due course, overthrow all other sovereign states altogether.

Because of the arrogance of man is that thousands of human beings die every day in senseless wars.

It is man disrespecting his neighbor what makes the world go in decline.

It is necessary that the leaders think with sanity not believing themselves superior to others. It is my humble opinion.

Beyond all this I want to thank your participation in the call that my dear @crypto.piotr (Santa Venezuela) made, I was one of the beneficiaries and I wanted to thank you for such a beautiful gesture.

Blessings!

Hi @fucho80, thanks for the kind note.

On the issue of leaders believing themselves superior to others, do you think Hitler was the cause of the Nazi Holocaust? I think not. I think the cause was the group consciousness of the Germans who believed in the superiority of their race. A group consciousness which constantly speaks of superiority will produce loss of compassion on a colossal scale; and loss of compassion inevitably results in loss of conscience. This is what happened in Germany. Hitler merely seized the moment and used it. How could any leader do anything without the support, cooperation and willing submission of millions of his people?

Hello, I think you are right in that aspect, but it takes someone capable of manipulating masses, with a wrong thinking to make many think that what they do is correct.

When someone immolates himself, I think that behind all this is someone capable of manipulating and laping people's brains to the point of inducing them to commit crimes in the name of some "just" cause for them.

Thanks for sharing this, you are very kind.

Hello @devann, hope you had a happy new year!

I wanted to come here to express my gratitude, your donation for the ''Santa Venezuela'' initiative really made the difference for a lot of Venezuelans that needed a little push to get some food on their tables. I'm touched by your generosity and i wish you a happy year, success and health.

Thank you for your support!

Thank you for the kind words, @roronoa07. May you have abundance, joy and peace.

It doesnt surprise me at all @devann

China seem to be challenging rest of the world left and right. But their business model and throwing money like there was no tomorrow is very risky.

I also wonder what is your view on that issue?

ps.
I've been surfing youtube a while ago and I've found one influencer which content I found very valuable and interesting and I figured I can share it with you. Especially if you're planning to be an influencer yourself.

It's 8 min long but first 2 min are enough. Check out this youtube video:

Hope you enjoyed NY Celebrations.

I believe that 2019 will be difficult and challenging. Hope you will go through it without any real difficulties. Hope we can all make it through without many problems.

Obviously upvote on the way :-)

Yours
Piotr

@crypto.piotr,

Good video. I've never heard of him but he makes some very goods points.

Alas, the stuff about the secret to success on social media being interaction in the comments section ... go randomly click on three of my posts (or 20) ... look at the comments section ... now look at the payout. I challenge you to find one person on Steemit, in any time-frame, more dedicated to interacting with his/her audience. Just one.

In theory, theory and reality are the same. In reality, they're not.

Quill

Dear @quillfire

Thank you for your kind comment.

look at the comments section ... now look at the payout. I challenge you to find one person on Steemit, in any time-frame, more dedicated to interacting with his/her audience.

I think I've lost you here. Or perhaps I didn't. Are you asking me to find one person on Steemit who is more dedicated to interact with audience than you? Perhaps I can suggest myself? :P Lately I've reached over 800 comments in one post. Half of it was mine, but replying took me hours.

I do think you're doing such a great job with engaging. I wish you would blog also about blockchain and crypto as those are my personal interests here on Steemit.

As a lad, I spent five years in the French Foreign Legion

OMG. Insane. Are you french? Do you think those legions are as valuable now as they were in your times?

ps. your daugher is indeed beautiful.

Yours
Piotr

China does not simply throw money without any reason, @crypto.piotr.

They finance even unprofitable projects fully aware that when the project becomes a white elephant and the host country cannot even service the interest let alone pay back, they can use it as a bargaining tool to obtain concessions from the host country.
Sri Lanka is a typical case in point (see: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/25/world/asia/china-sri-lanka-port.html).
Zambia is another case in point (see: https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/africa/2018-09-23-say-no-to-china-anger-mounts-in-zambia-over-beijings-presence/)
Malaysia would have been another case in point, if not for the recent change in government.

You did send me the video as a link in one of your earlier comments and I have already watched it and even commented on it.

Hi @devann

China does not simply throw money without any reason, @crypto.piotr.

Oh they really do. At least that's my heavy impression.

Look at their ghosts megacities all over china. Look at that new bridge between chinese provinces and hong kong. Look at investments in belt and road initiative.

It's all just throwing huge money left and right. That's how they managed to lift their country from poverty. Creating huge debts and pumping money into property market. That gaved people jobs and made many very rich.

China didnt experience property market crash even once in their lifetime. Those people do not think that prices of properties can go down, only up.

So right now there is apparently over 50mln appartments without anyone living inside them. That's hugeeee. But this is exactly how China is "faking" their GDP.

They finance even unprofitable projects fully aware that when the project becomes a white elephant and the host country cannot even service the interest let alone pay back, they can use it as a bargaining tool to obtain concessions from the host country.

That is also throwing money and hoping for the best (mostly that ruling party of those countries will not change and will not openly ignore paying debts).

Of course there will be many examples of succesful investments (just like you pointed it out). But domestic growth is based on spending money (from debt) to create even more ghost cities, bridges etc.

You did send me the video as a link in one of your earlier comments and I have already watched it and even commented on it.

Im sorry. Im trying to share it with some people and Im making notes of who I shared it with, but I guess somehow I made mistake and I doubled it already.

Cheers
Piotr

There's one part of the world hugely excited about decentralizing the entire global communication, governance, and monetary models, working tirelessly to make it come true. And then there's the other part, still unmoved and most probably ignorant of the wave that's about to hit them.

Thanks for the comment, @reverseacid.

If you mean China is still unmoved and most probably ignorant of the wave that's about to hit them, think again.

There are a quite a number of blockchain projects spearheaded by Chinese nationals: NULS, NEO, NEM, Elastos, VeChain and Tron are a few that comes to my mind immediately. Some of these projects have their HQ outside China, due to the lurking uncertainty of China's official stand on blockchain. I think when China eventually adopts blockchain fully, which they will sooner or later, you can expect them to do extremely well and perhaps even outdo the western countries.

Look at Binance, it is a Chinese company but head-quartered outside China for reasons I cited earlier. See how successful they are, even in an extremely competitive field like crypto exchange. Huobi is another upcoming Chinese exchange.

Look at the other examples like Alibaba, Wechat, Tencent etc.

You statement may be appropriate for India in that they have been extremely slow and cautious, because of their local conditions, to adopt blockchain technology.

You do make a point @devann

Pardon me, but I didn’t mean that China is behind in the block sphere. I just meant that there are people (elected officials, leaders, nationalists, etc) who are short sighted to still fight for collective imaginative causes, while here we are, trying as hard as possible to breakthrough into a whole new paradigm of financial, economic and societal development.

Anyway, learnt a lot from you comment. Will definitely them out. Cheers.

Namaste @reverseacid, I think because of their historical background the Chinese officials have an acute distrust of the foreigners and perhaps rightly so. Whilst their distrust of others may be justified, they are repeating just exactly what the foreigners did to them decades ago, albeit in a subtle manner. This does not (and will not) augur well for them, in the modern era, where information travels within seconds.

Blessings.
