Former England World T20 winner Mike Yardy is to leave his coaching job with Sussex to join New South Wales as batting coach.

Yardy has had a long career with Sussex. It all started when he was playing under-10 level up until his 2015 season. He retired from international cricket in 2011.

Yardy has contributed in winning Sussex County Championship three times - in 2003, 2006 and 2007.
He has also helped in winning the C&G Trophy in 2006 and the Pro40 League in 2008 and 2009. His role as a player, a captain and a coach have been extremely beneficial for Sussex and Sussex have wished him well for the new opportunity he has with Australia.
