Deepfake technology is going to make information a whole new ballgame. The mantra of "fake news" is already uttered without abandon. We are now seeing the ability to alter videos becoming simple. As the technology progresses, it will be very easy to make someone "say" just about anything. Want to make that politician into a racist, just take a video and put in a racial phrase.
That is where we are quickly going.
