Russian biologist Denis Rebrikov is about to become the second person in the world to use CRISPR to edit the genes of an embryo and bring it to terms. He found 5 Russian couples who are willing to have him edit the genes of their offspring in an effort to eliminate the parents deafness.

The question people are asking is hearing worth the risk of editing genes? The topic of designer babies is causing great debate regarding the ethics of it.
