The Boston Red Sox have finally traded Mookie Betts. This is a reworked deal that is finally in the books.
Along with Betts is veteran pitcher David Price; both are now Los Angeles Dodgers.
Going back to the Red Sox are Alex Verdugo and a couple other prospects.
Betts was the big prize of this off season according to many. The Red Sox are trying to reduce payroll and get under the luxury tax threshold. Money never seems to be a problem for the Dodgers. They took on Betts $27 million for this year and David Price who is owed $96 million.
Reports are there is some money going from the Red Sox to the Dodgers to pay down Price's contract.
