It will be a strange parade in Washington to celebrate the Nationals victory. At least this will be the case for Stephen Strasburg.
The powerful right hander will have to decide by the parade whether to opt out of his remaining contract and become a free agent.
Even if he does opt out, that does not mean he will not be back. It is highly likely that Stras wants to remain with the Nats. He did show the commitment to the team by signing a 7 year deal although the $175 million probably played into the decision.
He had a terrific year this year after bringing back his curveball. He will certainly top what is remaining on his contract if he does hit the open market.
