30 Things This Guy Hates About Your Game Pitch

I find it interesting how the speaker, Brian Upton, goes over common game pitch mistakes. It's possible that some of these mistakes actually overlap other genres of application design, maybe even crypo.

Interesting list, fits perfectly to crypto. He adresses important issues to optimize the project sucess rate by keeping the arguments within a realistic range and therefore creating a honest, strong and trustworthy picture.

I'm just not sure where what the "publisher" role is in crypto. I guess it could be an exchange. Or it could be an investor. Not sure if there needs to be a 1-to-1 match on terminology.

Likely, investor fits best. I especially like the idea of a "hook" in crypto projects. And the "hook" should not be a pillar.

For example, if someone says that their blockchain is censorship resistant, that's a pillar, not a hook. But if they say that their blockchain has "proof of geography," that could be a good hook.

I actually watched this over the weekend... Not sure how it was recommended but definitely a good watch and like you say there is overlap into other disciplines.

I ve just started to read a book about gamedesign.
