At least on the face of it China seems to be very serious about the reforms in respect of the treatment of foreign investments. Whilst some critics are being pessimistic and others are being optimistic, whether China is really sincere in their efforts and whether it is really effective will only be known when they are implemented starting January 2020. At least for now China seems to be pressing the right buttons.
