The trailer of Mammootty's Mamankam has been released. M Padmakumar has directed the film and it has only a few days to go. Apart from Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Prachi Tehlan, Anu Sithara, Kaniha, Iniya, Siddique, Tarun Arora, Sudev Nair, Manikandan, Suresh Krishna and Master Achuthan will be seen in the movie. The film is produced by Venu Kunnappilli.
The film is based on the Mamanka Mahotsavam which took place on the banks of Bharathapuzha in Thirunavai, Kerala in the 16th and 17th centuries. The set of Mamankam set in Ernakulam Marad and Nettur is the largest in the history of Malayalam cinema.
The huge mansion at the wooden location was built by thousands of workers over four months. The battle scenes in the film are shot on 20 acres of land in Nettur.
