Dollar General is becoming he poster child for ill health and poverty. The chain opens a store in an economically depressed area. It opens with low prices to drive in traffic. The stores do not offer fresh fruits and vegetables. After driving the competition out, people are left in the cycle of ill health which ties into poverty.

There was a documentary a few years ago call Poverty Inc. It told how corporations make a ton by engaging in usury behavior of the poor. Dollar General is a part of it too.
