This is odd to me.  I did a lot of reading about the mob over the years.  Why was he hit?   He was old and not long for this world being in his high 80s.  Was he going to rat?  He already was jailed for a while so there was no plea. 

A true mob hit.  Dead men do not talk.

A dead bad guy is not a bad thing.  He killed many so he met a fitting end.
