Bachmann are one of the biggest model railway manufacturers in the world and this is one of my favourite locos, right from the 70s/80s when I remember watching trains the most.
Class 03 were shunters, working in yards and shed just moving carriages, trucks and even engines about. Built at Swindon and Doncaster between 1957 and 1962, 230 were built and they stayed in regular service until 1993.
This model is superb and shows just how modelling and tooling has developed; as has the price! This Digital control model with sound is £230. This is no longer a 'pocket-money' hobby!!
