On Friday, U.S. authorities said they noticed the now-defunct British political consultancy firm Cambridge Analytica deceiving voters about gathering Facebook Inc data for voter profiling and targeting. The Federal Trade Commission has found that Cambridge Analytica was engaged in deceptive practices regarding its role in the EU-U.S. Framework for Privacy Shield-a cross-border data transfer agreement.
