The Lions are nearing the end to an awful season. Now is the time of year when rumors and speculation flies as to which coaches are not going to be back next season.
Matt Patricia is going to be back with the Lions next year. In spite of an awful season, he has the backing of the front office.
That does not mean all is rosy in his world. Improvement is expected if he is going to remain the Lions head coach long term.
The owner of the Lions, Martha Ford made it clear that in spite of the New England Patriots coming back together for a third year, that improvement is expected.
On the bright note, the Lions will have a high draft pick in the draft.
