Former Juventus striker Pietro Anastasi dies at age 71
Former Football Club Giants striker Pietro Anastasi, who scored a goal in the European Championship final against Yugoslavia in 1968, has died at the age of 71, the Thorn Club announced yesterday. Today is a sad day for the Juventus, Italian football and everyone who knew them, the statement said.
Petro Anastasi has left us at the age of 71. Anastasi spent eight seasons with the Giants and playing in three league title champions, scoring 130 goals in 303 games during his stay, followed by Inter Milan, school and Lugino moved to where he ended his career in 1982. Anastasi scored 25 goals against Italy and scored a goal against Yugoslavia in the final of the European Championship in 1968, winning 2-0.
