Beef Bourguignon Recipe

Stewing meat is browned and braised in red wine with carrots, garlic, onions, and herbs. Mushrooms and more onions are added for the last half hour of cooking.

This is a hearty food and we love it in Summer... red wine is fine because it adds that wonderful flavor to the beef.

For us it is a summer dish because we can eat it with baguette which is a lighter alternative to pasta.
