After insulting match officials on social media after a match between Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United during the UEFA champions league round of 16. Neymar jnr felt unsatisfied by the referees decisions and those of his assistants hence, leading to an outburst on social media. As a result, he was handed a three-game ban by the Court Of Arbitration For Sport (CAS).
Following an appeal by Paris Saint Germain and the player him self, it has now been confirmed that the ban has been reduced to a two-game ban. The player will however, miss the match between psg and Real Madrid this Wednesday, as well as another match where they play against Galatasaray but would be allowed to feature on the third match where they will be facing Club Brugge. It is no doubt that the player has had it quite rough in France these past two seasons but he will still be hoped upon to help them secure the European cup which they (PSG) so seek which no doubt was the main objective for his signing in the first place.
