Why are Airdrops Offered by New Projects?

Airdrops are usually meant for projects that are very relatively and are offering free tokens as a way to get the project off the ground so that the first potential customers get started with the beta tests. Although it is important to keep in mind that sometimes older projects offer airdrops as well. Their purpose can be to reward their loyal users or to generate fresh interest in the project Some people think that offering free tokens is a way to scam people and lure them in. While this line of thought may unfortunately be true for some bad projects
