Ancelotti dikontrak selama 4.5 tahun oleh pihak klub, ia kembali ke Inggris setelah beberapa tahun silam pernah melatih klub Chelsea.
Ancelotti sendiri baru saja dipecat Napoli setelah dianggap gagal mengangkat peforma klub tersebut di Liga Seri A Italia.
