Joe Maddon had one of the more successful managerial tours as Chicago Cubs manager.

In the 5 years he was at the helm, the Cubs made the playoffs 4 times including breaking a 100+ year World Series-less streak.

None of that was able to save Maddon's job. His contract was not renewed as Cubs manager.
