The day Iceland's women went on strike

In 1975, the women of Iceland took a "day off" from their usual jobs - and relations between Icelandic men and women were never quite the same again. Could this be replicated in the U. S. we really need to...

I don’t think so, it would create a civil war. It’s nice to be inspired but it’s a completely different era and context now. :(
However, I feel like there are many ways women are fighting for their rights in the US and Canada all of which are bearing fruit. When they are not making things better, they are preventing them from getting worse!

yeah I doubt that many women would join and if they did they would probably get shot by the police here in this country ...but one can dream ...

Dreaming is good, that way we can keep it together.

Okeydoke, anything is possible.

This ought to be implemented, and any revolutionary worth their salt should support that "day off" strike and have resolute determination to help the strike have lasting effects. Upvot'd and resteem'd.
